Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation Donates $10,000 to Border Area Nutrition Council in Support of Meals for Local Seniors

Laredo, Texas - Sept. 22, 2023 – The Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation, together with Molina Healthcare of Texas (“Molina”), recently donated $10,000 to the Border Area Nutrition Council (B.A.N.C.) in support of efforts to provide meals to seniors in need.B.A.N.C. provides essential meals, transportation, and recreational services to seniors in Webb County who lack the ability, knowledge, mobility, or mental capacity to obtain adequate nutrition. They do this in partnership with 12 senior centers located throughout the city of Laredo plus three rural centers.
“Molina and the Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of seniors across the state,” said Chris Coffey, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Texas. “We are thrilled to partner with Border Area Nutrition Council to help seniors in Webb County obtain the food and services they need.”
B.A.N.C. also provides home delivered meal services, social activities and transportation to participants to and from their homes, to social events, grocery shopping, for payment of bills, medical appointments and a variety of other destinations.
